    The CBC Education Director supports new Executive Directors through the development and implementation of training and leadership material based on current Avamere Policy and Procedure as well as development of Executive Director in Training. 

    Responsibilities/Qualifications/Skillset

     

    • Assist new Executive Directors (ED) in learning Avamere systems, non-negotiables, polices and ensuring basic administrative practices are in place (For example: PPD management, expense control, admissions and discharge flow, etc).
    • Conduct evaluations of facilities overall management in areas such as, but not limited to, financial outcomes, financial trends, cost and expense control, staffing, and labor matrix management.
    • Suggest performance improvement, financial management tactics, and marketing strategies based on facility feedback and overall performance with input from RVP or RDO.
    • Assist EDs, specifically those who are new, with low performance or “red” facilities” in developing their facilities and their own internal processes using Avamere non negotiables to ensure compliance with Avamere systems.
    • Provide detailed feedback to RDO or RVP on new ED Performance and facility snapshot.
    • Assist in survey management of high risk facilities as necessary
    • Continue to build and maintain relationships with professional organizations such as Oregon Health Care Association (OHCA), American College of Health Care Administrators (ACHCA), American Health Care Association (AHCA) and the National Center for Assisted Living (NCAL).
    • Work with other industry professionals to maintain a positive perception of Avamere Health Services and Avamere Living. Maintain positive working relationship with other industry professionals for partnerships and opportunities for Avamere Living and facilities for future leadership development opportunities.
    • Manage and check in with all Exeuctive Directors in Training in region to do assessments, feedback, and ensure compliance of EDIT program.
    • Assist in interviewing of new EDs at request of RVP or RDO
    • Allow a more “hands on” approach to developing our company’s leaders at direction and feedback of company executives, RVPs, and RDOs.
    • Review each designated regions financial reporting each month to identify areas of opportunity
    • Identify high risk facilities with RVP based on facility management and financial performance and develop plan to assist facilities with process improvement and financial growth opportunity
    • Assist facilities in developing and implementing financial plans
    • Assist facilities in implementing systems, policies, and procedures
    • Bachelor Degree in Business and or Healthcare Administration and MBA is highly desired
    • Executive Director certification preferred
    • 3 years minimum experience in an executive leadership role in long-term care setting
    • Ability to travel 50% or more per year, as needed
    • Ability to work in Excel, Word, Power point, must have excellent Excel skills; ability to build formulas, etc.
