    Other class options may be available upon request.

     

    All candidates must complete registering by October 11th, 2019 by 5pm to be considered.

    You must complete the ENTIRE ONLINE registration process to be considered. Registration does not guarantee a spot.

     

    Selected candidates will be required to attend (by written invitation/e-vite only) an Informational Orientation to be held October 16th, 2019 from 3:00pm-5:30pm in the NA Classroom at:

    Classroom: Monday-Friday 7:00am to 1:00pm (96 hours)

    Clinical: Monday-Friday 6:00am to 2:00pm (75 hours)

    This is a great start to become a Nursing Assistant in the State of Oregon and is also a wonderful step to becoming a licensed nurse. Avamere offers tuition reimbursement for Nursing School after one year of full-time employment.

     

     

    Employment opportunities as a CNA may also be available within any of our Avamere Facilities. After completing the class and obtaining your CNA certification, you would be eligible to apply!

    Responsibilities/Qualifications/Skillset

    You will learn to:

    • Check each resident routinely to ensure that his/her personal care needs are being met in accordance with his/her wishes.
    • Review care plans daily to determine if changes in the resident’s daily care routine have been made on the care plan.
    • Inform the Nurse Supervisor of any changes in the resident’s condition so that appropriate information can be entered on the resident’s care plan.
    • Assist resident’s with daily needs, including preparation for activity and social programs, and transporting residents to/from appointments.
    • Create and uphold an atmosphere of warmth, patience, enthusiasm, and a calm and cheerful environment.
    • Ensure that resident’s rooms are ready for receiving and make residents comfortable.
    • Participate in facility surveys by authorized government agencies.
    • Must possess a minimum of a 10th grade education.
    • Maintain confidentiality of all resident care information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
    • Effectively communicate necessary resident information to Charge Nurses, Director of Nursing and/or Administrator.
