    Classroom: Monday-Friday 8am-2:30pm (84 hours)

    All candidates must complete registering by December 30th, 2019 by 12pm to be considered.

    You must complete the entire online registration process to be considered. Registration does not guarantee a spot.

     

    Classes require 100% attendance in order for completion. This is a great start to become a Nursing Assistant in the State of Oregon and is also a wonderful step to becoming a licensed nurse. Avamere offers tuition reimbursement for Nursing School after one year of full-time employment.

     

    Employment opportunities as a CNA may also be available within any of our Avamere Facilities. After completing the class and obtaining your CNA certification, you would be eligible to apply!

    Responsibilities/Qualifications/Skillset

    Students must complete the classroom portion of the class and successfully demonstrate competency of the classroom/lab portion of the class before progressing to the clinical portion.  Once students enter into the clinical portion, the primary responsibility is to care for patients assigned in a safe manner including but not limted to the standards listed below and to be compliant with the Oregon State Board of Nursing, while maintaining the standards of the facility offering clinical experience. 

    • Check each resident routinely to ensure that his/her personal care needs are being met in accordance with his/her wishes.
    • Review care plans daily to determine if changes in the resident’s daily care routine have been made on the care plan.
    • Inform the Nurse Supervisor of any changes in the resident’s condition so that appropriate information can be entered on the resident’s care plan.
    • Assist resident’s with daily needs, including preparation for activity and social programs, and transporting residents to/from appointments.
    • Create and uphold an atmosphere of warmth, patience, enthusiasm, and a calm and cheerful environment.
    • Ensure that resident’s rooms are ready for receiving and make residents comfortable.
    • Participate in facility surveys by authorized government agencies.
    • Must possess a minimum of a 10th grade education.
    • Maintain confidentiality of all resident care information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
    • Effectively communicate necessary resident information to Primary Instructor, Charge Nurses, Director of Nursing and/or Administrator.
    • Must complete drug screen and background check.

    Avamere Rehabilitation of Clackamas is a 55 bed facility offering skilled nursing, transitional rehab, respite care, Alzheimer’s, long term care, and hospice.  Avamere Clackamas is a community based facility that provides a sense of home to their patients at every stage of care.  Residents are able to enjoy our sunroom, or get outside onto our beautiful patio.  We boast longevity with our staff and we are currently seeking top notch talent interested in being a part of our long term interdisciplinary team.
