    Are you looking for a role where your data can make a real difference in people’s lives?  The Avamere Family of companies provides a comprehensive continuum of post-acute care and senior living settings to help seniors with a range of healthcare needs and post-retirement options. We’re looking for a senior BI Analyst to join our team and help us build out analytic solutions and help us create a data driven company. This role requires a close working relationship with our business end users as well as the database and IT teams.

     

    You must excel at helping to define and clarify requirements in collaboration with non-technical business stakeholders. You must also have a strong learning ethic and be focused on business benefits first, and technology features second. And, of course, you must also have strong technical skills.

    Responsibilities/Qualifications/Skillset

    • Responsibilities will include:

      • Create amazing dashboards for business use by discerning the needs from stakeholders, coordinating with database team for data feeds and then creating the layout and analytics necessary.
      • Perform deep dive analyses to answer critical business questions. This could entail anything from writing SQL queries to building small analytics scripts in Python.
      • Support the growth of the team by helping your team mates and creating new processes and tools which enhance the team’s productivity.

       

      Required

      • 3+ years of experience in a similar role (BI analyst)
      • Experience with a dashboard tool (Power BI, Tableau, MicroStrategy, etc.)
      • Solid basic computer skills required to administer dashboards in a corporate environment (we are Microsoft based)
      • Experience working with users of data and discerning their needs.
      • Diligent and able to follow through on commitments – strong project management skills
      • Experience with analytic modeling in a scripting language (Python, R, Matlab, etc.)
      • Commitment and examples of learning new technical skills
      • Solid communication skills
      • Strong understanding of descriptive and inferential statistics
      • Good SQL skills.
      • BS in technical field

       

      Very nice to have:

      • Power BI experience specifically
      • Python data experience (Pandas, SciKit Learn, etc.)
      • Healthcare experience
      • Data Science experience (e.g. machine learning)
      • MS in analytic field
