    The Director of Clinical Services serves as an integral member of the Clinical leadership team providing leadership in the development, implementation, coordinator, and evaluation of clinical care services throughout Avamere’s Skilled Nursing Facilities.  The Director of Clinical Services advises and directs the Clinical Support Team, Director of Nursing, Healthcare Directors, and other staff as necessary.  The Director of Clinical Services provides leadership and training throughout the organization regarding clinical care quality assurance and best practice initiatives.


    • Contributes to the success of the company's organizational strategic planning process; collaborates in the evaluation of business lines and growth opportunities
    • Responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring standards and procedures for clinical care practices throughout the company's Skilled Nursing. 
    • Responsible for developing and implementing appropriate metrics and benchmarks for company's quality of care, against which performance is evaluated.
    • Regularly advises and directs Clinical Support Team, Director of Nursing to maximize resident satisfaction and well-being.
    • Leads best practice and quality improvement initiatives in skilled nursing.  
    • Embraces technology to advance the quality and efficient delivery of care.
    • Trains clinical policies and procedures and evaluates outcomes.
    • Collaborates with clinical staff to develop creative solutions to challenging care situations.
    • Participates in interdisciplinary initiatives to improve operations and overall optimal performance.
    • Regularly consults with outside agencies, organizations and experts to ensure incorporation of most recent patient/resident care standards throughout the company's communities.
    • Must be an energetic leader, dedicated to company's missions and core values, with a track record demonstrating accountability for results.


    • Must have a minimum, two (2) or more years in a multi-site and multi-state management position.
    • Must have a minimum, five (5) years of experience as a supervisor in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related health care facility.
    • Must have, as a minimum one (1) year experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices.  
    • Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Oregon and Washington
    • Must possess, as a minimum, a BS in Nursing from an accredited college or university. 
    • Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of the patients served. 
    • Develop and maintain and excellent rapport with regulatory agencies.
    • Provide excellent judgement and creative problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to travel 50% or more per year, as needed
    • Ability to work in Excel, Word, Power point, must have excellent Excel skills; ability to build formulas, etc.
